Balsa tanks for diesel engines, how you could make them

and not so many words to read this dreadful story.

Sometimes, when you have to fly a diesel combat model (by coincidence or what ever, and you also build the models yourself (it is possible) you also need to make a diesel tank yourself.
Tomas Mejzlik is selling a lot but not anything unless you order a series of 50 or more. Who wants to order 50 balsa tanks.

OK, to make a metal tank you need to be an expert in cutting metal, with your wife scissors , and also in soldering the parts together. Wife not happy and it can be done different. Even my sister is capable of making a BALSA TANK and this saves time, FOR ME.

So a short story about how we make them and for sure it can be done differently or better .

Frequently Asked Questions:

-Q- isn't a balsa tank leaking because Balsa is porous??
-A- it is and therefore we glue something on it, preferable something that is not porous, like aluminum foil from your wife's kitchen.
we glue the aluminum foil on with epoxy or even with contact glue.

Q- Is it strong enough?
A- It is, We never had problems with them up till now. If there is a problem, just glue it, instead of soldering it.

Simple aluminum foil glued on the balsa, balsa is 4 mm in this case.
It is not important if the aluminum foil is glued on nicely, wrinkles are allowed.

We glue the balsa tank with 10 seconds glue, hot stuff. Very important, you can't glue a tank with hot stuff when you use it for glow engines. Nitromethane is dissolving the glue.
