Since the first of July 1979 dogs "rule"our lives. At that day Noby came into our house. An Old English Sheepdog. Nobi (Beloved Elsa of the Grey Pearls) taught us how nice living with dogs can be. In the past 20 years the care of our pony's, cats and dogs is the most imporant part in our daily lives and we still do it with a lot of love for our "animals".
Many people do not understand it....but for us they are the most ideal partners to live with, work with en lie down with on the couch.
At this moment we have in and around the house 4 German Wirehaired Pointers, 1 Newfoundland, 4 Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen, 3 Cats and 2 Shetland Pony's.
John is actif as a international judge of Old English Sheepdogs, Bearded Collies, White Shepherds, Irish Wolfhounds and Deerhounds. He also is the chairman of the Maastricht Dog Club and organizer of a big international Dogshow (every september in Maastricht). He also prepares "starting breeders" to get their basic national diplomes.
Lilian takes care for the teaching and education of the dogs. She loves it to train the dogs for official national obedience diplomes. Uptill now it "works" nearly 100 %. Not the diplome, but working with the dogs is important. Only then they become socially well educated. Besides this Lilian works with the Wirehaired Pointers to train them for official hunting diplomes.
Together we try to train our petits for the hunting seazon in 2001 in France and Belgium. Maybe "once" they get their "brevet de chasse". Besides hunting, showing is another part of our living with the dogs. Not winning, however much appreciated ofcourse, but fore all the may friends we have and meet at shows brings us to a show sometimes twice a month!
We are glad to have four Dutch and / or Luxembourg Champions:
